My name is
David Parker. I am the owner of Altered Images, a company I
started in 2003 following my retirement from Greater Manchester
Police, where I served as a police and forensic artist for over
12 years.
I started my career as a technical illustrator
with a large Manchester engineering company. It was there in
1964 I began retouching photographs. I went on to become the
Police and Forensic Artist for Greater Manchester Police.
I have over 50 years experience in photo
restoration, retouching and enhancement.
Philosophy
To offer you a service second to none at a price that is
both competitive and fair.
I take pride in my work and every project I undertake I
treat as my own. Only when I am satisfied that with the
result will I forward it to you for your approval. If
the result meets with your approval, then and only then
is the photograph sent to the lab for printing.
Location
My business is situated in Springhead. Historically the
village once had its own urban district with its own
council. Now we are part of Saddleworth in the
metropolitan borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester.
I work from home. This helps me to keep the costs down
as I have no overheads as I would if I had
business premises.
